In the attached, you will find the QTrax PTO Approval Process with instructions.
Common Questions:
Why did I not get to approve my rep's PTO request -
Managers can approve PTO requests when a Rep submits the request and has NOT closed their timesheet or submitted it as an issue timesheet. The status of PENDING in the Request History means the PTO was not approved before the timesheet was closed. Reminder to review the Employee Handbook for the PTO policy to determine how much advance notice is recommended for requests. The system does allow Reps to schedule a max of 40 hours in the negative, per the current PTO policy. Typically, this should be discussed with the manager before the rep requests the time off.
When there are PTO requests for you to approve, they will appear in the PENDING tab (assuming your reps provide enough notice when submitting their requests).
I used to have access to see all PTO requests, and now I am missing that button -
The feature for Field Managers with Full-Time Reps to approve the Rep's PTO request was rolled out some time ago. After roll-out, it quickly came to our attention that there was a bug in the new future; where Directors see the PTO widget. The intended purpose of this feature is for Field Managers to approve Reps PTO and that no Director should see the widget; partly due to Directors not having reps report to them. This bug has since been corrected and the widget from the RM's view is accessible. If you would like to discuss additional development requests, please work with the GIR team to discuss. After GIR team prioritization, the Dev team can take a closer look. I will close this support ticket since no further action is needed.
Kindest Regards,
Les
